One of the legacies of a blog that is now almost 4 years old is a lot of stuff that is difficult to change. For one, I experimented with a move to Squarespace , an experiment that didn’t work. I am really busy these days and figured that I didn’t want to deal with blog administration. Unfortunately, thanks to the legacy, the move would have required a lot of work to get things properly moved over, and that required time I didn’t have, so wordpress lives to see another day.

Note: I was already formulating the mental list for this blog post when I read Emily Howard’s list over at “a chick’s view. ” So while I didn’t steal her idea (regulars will recognize the format from blogs gone by,) it’s possible hers is more interesting. Still I’ll plug on. But you’ll prolly want to read hers too. During the Past Week: I spent a few hours with part of my family on Thursday, which included my Granddaddy who just turned 90. Ninety. Some Stats about Twitter’s Contentzooie.wordpress.com
10/12/2009
Near the end of July, I crawled a sample of ~10M tweets. On my way over from Open Hack Day NYC yesterday I finally got some time to do some preliminary analysis of this data. Several posts have analyzed Twitter’s traffic stats [ TechCrunch ] [ Mashable ] [ zooie ], so I thought I’d focus more on the content here. Duplication By compressed the data and comparing the before and after sizes, one can get a pretty decent understanding of the duplication factor.

Superfloo.us is coming into its own. It has ink. It has art. It’s at Squarespace. But what to do with Bradtastic? A few of my friends are using WordPress now, and they seem happy with it. I’ve used it for a long time, too, and (mt) hosting is good. In the meantime, head over to AIS or CARA MoneyCard to check out new insurance offerings and the best checking card available anywhere. Also, please let me know if you’re looking for HR services or employee manuals.
