I was curious when I found out my grandmother had a blog. How did she start blogging? I think those hours of solitare became boring and she started exploring the web through her dial-up AOL. I was quite impressed when she had a fancy site up and had been writing about gardening. The funniest thing was that people had commented on her blog and she was ranking in the search engines. I have to give her credit, as I feel that not too many 70 year olds can learn to blog and become comfortable with blogging software and site management.

As I write this I’m sitting at the Las Vegas airport awaiting my (delayed, grumble) flight back home. I’ve just wrapped up three days of events surrounding Blogworld Expo . Here are a few thoughts in a less-than-organized fashion: This was my first Blogworld… I went into it with two purposes. Part of my motivation for attendance was to learn a few things from some of the official conference sessions. My other plan was to meet and network with a variety of smart people. Overall, it met my expectations.
